Effective Date: 2 July 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings, services, purchases, and website use relating to The Fitting Mill, a trading name of Newtons Ski Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16187194. By booking a service, making a purchase, or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these terms. They form a contract between you, the customer, and us, The Fitting Mill. These Terms and Conditions are designed to clarify the expectations and obligations of both parties and should be read carefully. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact sam@thefittingmill.com prior to booking or purchasing.
The Fitting Mill provides appointment-based ski boot fitting services, including standard fittings, refittings, custom insole creation, and ski binding mounting. Services are available by appointment only and may be booked via our online platform or directly in-store. Each appointment type is tailored to specific needs and durations, and customers are responsible for selecting the appropriate service at the time of booking. All services are performed by trained professionals using specialised equipment, and every effort is made to deliver a tailored fit and customer-focused experience. However, the outcome of any boot fitting may vary due to individual anatomy and skiing preferences.
Appointments can be booked online or in person. Depending on the method used, payment may be taken at the time of booking or in-store on the day of your appointment. A ski boot fitting carries a non-refundable consultation fee of £50, payable regardless of whether a purchase is made. This fee covers the time, expertise, and use of our boot fitting equipment and is not offset against any future purchases unless explicitly stated in a promotional offer. All prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate. Newtons Ski Ltd reserves the right to amend prices or cancel bookings in the event of pricing errors or technical issues on the website.
We understand that plans may change. Customers may reschedule appointments by contacting us at least 24 hours in advance. However, we do not offer refunds for cancellations. The £50 boot fitting fee is non-refundable in all cases, regardless of notice or attendance. While we do not charge additional no-show penalties, customers who fail to attend without notice may be asked to pay in advance for future bookings. We reserve the right to refuse bookings from customers who repeatedly fail to attend appointments or breach these terms.
We sell ski boots and related accessories both in-store and online. All ski boots purchased in conjunction with a fitting are subject to our Boot Fit Guarantee, which covers adjustments or replacements in cases of proven fit issues. Boots that have been customised—such as through heat moulding, stretching, or shell modification—are not eligible for return or exchange unless a fault arises covered by consumer law or our fit guarantee. Unused boots in original condition may be exchanged or refunded within a reasonable period upon presentation of proof of purchase.
Custom footbeds or insoles are non-refundable once created, as they are moulded to the individual’s foot. In the event that an insole is deemed to have been incorrectly prescribed or manufactured during a fitting process, a replacement or refund may be issued at our discretion.
All returns must be pre-approved, and we reserve the right to inspect any returned item before issuing an exchange or refund. Refunds will be made via the original payment method.
While we strive to provide a safe and professional service, skiing is an inherently high-risk sport, and the performance or safety of ski equipment is dependent on proper use, maintenance, and external factors beyond our control. The Fitting Mill accepts no liability for injuries, accidents, or damage to persons or property arising from the use or misuse of any products or services purchased or delivered by us.
Customers are responsible for disclosing any medical, structural or comfort-related concerns during the fitting process. We are not responsible for any adverse outcomes resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided at the time of service.

In the event of an error in pricing or availability, we reserve the right to cancel or amend your order and will contact you promptly if any such change affects your purchase.
By using our services and purchasing our products, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Newtons Ski Ltd, its staff, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses resulting from your misuse of our services, breach of these terms, or violation of applicable laws. This includes, but is not limited to, improper use of fitted equipment, failure to follow post-fitting care advice, or any unauthorised commercial use of our intellectual property.
Customers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for all in-store fittings and services. We reserve the right to decline service if a minor attends unaccompanied. Orders placed online by individuals under 18 must be supervised and authorised by an adult.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect when posted on our website and will apply to all future interactions. Continued use of our website or services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
