How long does a ski boot fitting take?

Your appointment lasts around 90 minutes. This gives us plenty of time to assess your feet, select the right boot, make any adjustments needed and create a custom insole. 

Yes, but you’ll need to call us to book. We’re happy to help with tweaks to your existing boots when possible. Work on boots not purchased from The Fitting Mill starts at £50 per hour.

Our standard fitting service is £50. This includes a full foot and movement assessment, expert advice, and any adjustments needed to get your boots fitting properly.

Yes. We make custom footbeds for ski boots, priced at £150. These are moulded in-house to give you personalised support and improved performance on the mountain. We can also create custom insoles for running, cycling, hiking and everyday footwear. Find out more here.

Bring a pair of ski socks and wear trousers that can be rolled up above the knee. Please also bring skis that will need adjusting. 

Yes. If your skis have system bindings, we’ll adjust them to your new boots free of charge. If your skis need re-drilling for a new binding mount, this may come with an additional cost.

We strongly recommend booking your ski boot fitting in advance, especially during the busy winter season. This ensures we can give you our full attention and the time you need. Walk-ins are welcome when we have availability, but we can’t guarantee a slot without an appointment.

We carry a carefully selected range of ski boot brands including Atomic, Salomon, Nordica, Dalbello, and Roxa. Each brand offers different fits and features, allowing us to find the perfect match for your foot shape, skiing style, and ability.

We fit ski boots for both children and adults. For younger skiers, we have a small selection of boots suitable for toddlers and small children. For older kids and teenagers, we use low-flexing adult boots that provide comfort, control, and room to grow.

Absolutely. Our custom insole service covers ski boots, running shoes, cycling shoes, hiking boots, tennis shoes, rowing shoes, ice hockey skates, and many more sports. We can create insoles for almost any activity as well as for everyday footwear. A properly fitted insole can improve comfort, performance, and reduce foot fatigue in any situation. Yes, all ski boots purchased from The Fitting Mill come with our Boot Fit Guarantee. If you experience discomfort or performance issues after your fitting, simply return to us and we’ll make the necessary adjustments at no extra charge.

We have plenty free customer parking directly outside the shop. Please park in the Studio 5 parking bays.
